TitleWade Hampton's Hornpipe / The Grand Hornpipe
Wade Hampton was a South Carolina Major-General in the American Civil War. The tune is popular in Northumbria and in the Irish music world. This arrangement is loosely based on a version by Cambridge musician Greg Smith for Northumbrian pipe duet.
The Grand Hornpipe is from the manuscripts of Cumbrian musician Henry Stables; it's known in Wales as "Mympwy Portheinon" (Portheinon Whim.)
We don't have a written arrangement for the Grand Hornpipe.
