Thought to be written by Robbie Burns and set to a tune he knew. Published in the Scots Musical Museum in 1792. We first heard it sung by Jack Crawford, who recorded it on his CD "Pride of The Season" accompanied by Mary on the same English concertina that she is using here. Music below is in D minor, but Mary is singing a 4th lower in A minor.
