Title
Sportmans Hornpipe Set
A set of tunes that we recorded in 2003, played everywhere for a few years, and then not so much recently. They are full of irregularities in key or rhythm.
Sportsman's Hornpipe: from 1825 Kershaw manuscript (Saddleworth)
Radstock: Sometimes called "Radstock Jig" but not a jig in the usual sense. Collected by Cecil Sharp from fiddler James Higgins in the Shepton Mallett workhouse in the early 1900s.
Whitefriar's Hornpipe: From Walsh's third collection of Lancashire tunes published around 1730.
