Title | Indian Queen (Playford) |
A dance from Henry Playford's 1701 Dancing Master. I knew this tune from our Cambridgeshire based band Fendragon, but when we did Playford I was usually on cello, so I've had to learn it on melodeon. The tunes was published and is usually played in D. I've transposed it to G because a simple 2 row D/G melodeon is missing a top G♯ and some important chords/basses for this tune in D. | |
