Based on a song Mary remembered from the singing of Harry Boardman, using his chorus and tune (The Nutting Girl) but she reworked several broadsides of the time to tell the story of the Peterloo Massacre in as few words as possible.
We sung this at Bodmin Folk Club in 2019 on the exact 200th anniversary of the massacre.
Picture shows Mary standing in St Peter's Field, the scene of the Peterloo Massacre, on 15 August 2026, almost exactly 207 years after the event.
