Title | Glakey Twostep (or Hornpipe) |
Also known as the Glakey Hornpipe. It's said to be composed by Dr. Ernest Kirby who was the warden of Sadler Hall, a hall of residence at Leeds University. Associated with Northumbrian musicians, such as Willy Taylor who recorded it on his 1988 album "Welcome to the Dene". Often called The Glakey Hornpipe but seems to make more sense as a 6/8 two step or steady jig. | |
