| When melodeon.net came up with Breton music as theme of the month, I didn't really know where to start, so I tried searching YouTube for an An Dro (a common Breton Dance) and selected the first suitable example I found. I didn't know the name of the tune at the time (many Breton tunes don't have names anyway, I've heard) but a comment supplied the name and attributed the tune to Carlos Nunez.
The ABC file here is from Jack Campin's collection of "Nine-note Tunes". It's in a different key and but it's otherwise close to the version I transcribed and played. | |
