TitleThe Road To Ripon - a tune by Anahata
Composed by Anahata while driving up the A1 from Cambridge, and dictated to Mary who sat in the passenger seat and scribbled the notes down on whatever scrap paper was to hand. Inspired very loosely by some singing from Cape Verde that was on the BBC Radio 3 World Music programme at the time. It was used by Pig Dyke Molly for a short time, but then they dropped the dance they used it for. Some years later it was taken up by Old Glory for their "Waltzer" dance, so eventually Anahata got to dance to his own tune, played by Mary on a one row C melodeon and retitled "The Road to Rumburgh".
