| This Swedish waltz was sent to me by Rob Ely in Idaho, as a recording played on a hammered dulcimer, with a request to identify it if I could. He thought the name was "Osa's Waltz", which neither he or I could find anywhere on the internet. Then I remembered that Orsa is the home of a well known Swedish band "Orsa Spelman", and a search for "Orsa" in a tune name came up with lots of hits, some of which resembled the tune Rob was playing. I liked the tune well enough to learn it and add a harmony part | |
