Known variously as Cathleen Hehir's, Kathleen O'Hehir's and a.k.a. Joe Cooley's Delight, John McAuliffe's Slide, Kishkeam Lasses, and Rural Felicity. The 'Hehir' title is from the band De Danann, and is said to honour a lovely woman who at one time ran a bed and breakfast establishment in the middle of Connemara, and who adored the tune. 32 bar versions also exist, but DeDanann seem to have popularized this version with four sections (64 bars). | |
