| Learnt in Manchester when I was there in the 1960s from the first ( & best) folk song book I ever bought – the Penguin Book. I thought I had sung it to death, but it has had a new lease of life since Anahata came along. The sentiment of a persistent lover who won’t take no for an answer appeals to me.
