TitleGeld Him, Lasses / Hornpipe by Purcell
"Geld Him, Lasses, Geld Him" is also known by the tamer title of "Chalk's Hornpipe". The countermelody for this tune is by Alistair Anderson.

The Purcell hornpipe is catalogued as ZT 685, and it was written for the play "The Old Bachelor", by William Congreve in 1693 (Thanks to "MrLuridan" on YouTube for that). This is our arrangement, based on a bass line from the original keyboard version.
