| At a Sidmouth Big Band workshop, Nick Barber decided to demonstrate how you might make up variations on a tune on the fly while playing it. He picked The Oyster Girl as a tune most would recognize, said he had no idea what he was going to do with it and "this had better be good", then proceeded to play this. It stuck in several people's memories and the tune has survived, with a suitably derivative title. | |
