We first heard the Stockton Hornpipe played by Anglo conertina player Chas Marshall from Knaresborough.
It is in the Charlton Memorial Tune book published by the Northumbrian Pipers' Society.
We learned the Alston Clog first from Suffolk fiddler David Dolby. It appeared in Honeyman's Strathspey, Reel and Hornpipe Tutor, 1898, a.k.a. Alston Hornpipe or Lancaster and Manchester Hornpipe.
